Six years ago I made the documentary Stone upon stone. In addition to the good times, I have to admit that the best treasure that has given me this mountain, the Cabezo Gordo , the real star of the documentary, has been the friends he gave me: Professor Walker, Juan Carlos Blanco, José Luis Caravaca Antolin Muñoz ... One of them, Joaquin Palazón, recently invited me to see his photo exhibition dedicated to our lonely mountain and through him I came back to relive the emotions, contradictory always pushed me on a day to produce the documentary.
Joaquin has gathered, over the years and with much patience and delivers a fascinating collection of photographs, magical moments and exotic Cabezo Gordo, which can only be achieved after hundreds of hours of observation. I was amazed especially with pictures of animals and bugs, and that is quite rare.
His work can be seen in detail on its website . Joaquin is absolutely right when he says: "What I have here: a tiny sample of what anyone can find in Cabezo Gordo if you take interest in him." And, believe me, this small mountain is something special, something unique, which is declared South side inner sanctum of science by an exceptional archaeological treasure, overloaded with men of Neanderthal, while the north face, just a few feet away, still flying at air, day after day, by dint of Goma 2 to the delight of our blocks and roads. I still do not understand it, six years later.
No, gentlemen politicians, not just the museum . We have to stop the quarry. And I will never tire of saying it.
Finally, I mention that Antolin Muñoz, Tolin, who was once president of the advocacy platform for Cabezo Gordo, also inaugurates photo exhibition these days, is more eclectic, from what I read, and I do not I lose my next trip south. I leave this link for more signs.
